Sightseeing and Attractions:

Taronga Zoo - World famous zoo. Australian native and exotic animals. Situated in Mosman with some of the most magnificent views on City and harbour.

Art Gallery of NSW - Collections of Australian art, including the world’s largest permanent exhibition of Australian Aboriginal art.

Balmoral Beach – in Mosman, named for the British royal family's estate in Scotland. During the January and February you'll stumble on seaside performances of Shakespeare's works.

Bondi Beach - Sydney’s most famous beach. It's a great place for swimming and excellent for surfing on a steady swell from the ocean. It also has historical significance as the first life-saving club in the world founded in 1906. Lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants just opposite the beach. You can take a kilometre-long walk on white sand or take the Bondi to Coogee cliff-top walk.

Bronte Beach - It's a great place for surf. Covered picnic areas with grills, playgrounds and large grassy parts. The saltwater pool and cafes across the street.

Cadman's Cottage – located in Rocks, this sandstone cottage built in 1815, is the oldest residential building in Australia. It was the home of ex-convict John Cadman and his family.

Centrepoint or AMP Tower - Sydney's tallest structure - Tower 300 metres high offering not only magnificent views of the city but view extends from Wollongong to the Blue Mountains. Really best viewing point in Sydney. Tower's observation deck is the highest in the southern hemisphere. Two revolving restaurants and café are available. Some great tours are offered…

Circular Quay -  The main city terminal for the harbour cruise ferries and cruise boats.

Chinatown - A strip of China with a mixture of restaurants, takeaways, stores and markets.

Customs HouseLocated just across the road from Circular Quay station and 5 min walk from Opera House. Originally build in in 1845 in the French Neoclassical style. Offers an exhibition space, a craft gallery, bars, and restaurants.

Darling Harbour  - 148 acres of restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, shops and designer label stores, and outdoor areas. On the top of that there is Sydney Aquarium, Chinese garden, Sydney Convention Centre, and Powerhouse and Maritime museum in the area. The film and laser show projected over the water Wednesday to Sunday nights is a popular event.

Dobroyd Head ­at Balgowlah is part of Sydney Harbour National Park. Bushland recreational area featuring walking tracks and relaxing beaches. Visitors enjoy fabulous views over the Harbour - essentially unchanged since 1788. Grotto Point even maintains some authentic aboriginal rock art.

Elizabeth Bay House - Once considered the finest building in Sydney. Today is best known for its domed circular staircase. Furnished in mid-19th century style.

Government House - Home to the Governor of NSW until 1996. offers an excellent collection of 19th and 20th century furniture and views over the Harbour and Botanic Gardens.

Harbour Bridge - The Sydney Harbour Bridge opened in March 1932. It is 503 metres long, and is structured using 485,000 square metres of steel.

IMAX Theatre - Australia's biggest movie screen (ten times larger than original cinemas)  with a range of documentaries and 3D –three dimensional movies.

Jewish Museum - Documenting the history of Jewish life in Australia and the Holocaust.

Kings Cross - The intersection of William Street and Victoria Road.

Australia’s nightlife capital, lined with bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. But be careful…

Manly Beach - Manly is located on a peninsular surrounded by the Harbour, the ocean and Sydney Harbour National Park. Manly was Australia's first resort area. Restaurants, great pubs and art galleries. Food and Wine festivals in June, and Manly Jazz Festival in October.

Monorail - The Monorail offers scenic links to shops, restaurants, and museums in City and Darling Harbour area.

Museum of Sydney –It  documents Sydney's colonial, indigenous, and cultural histories - is located on the historical site of the city's first government house. Parts of the original building are preserved in glass encasements.

Olympic Park - Situated in Homebush. Impressive stadiums and arenas. The site incorporates an indoor arena, tennis centre, the Sydney International Archery Centre and the Sydney International Aquatic Centre.

Queen Victoria Building - Sydney’s most prestigious shopping centre with nearly 200 specialty and designer’s shops, cafes, restaurants and wedding’s venue. This unique sandstone building was originally built in 1898 to house the city markets.

Powerhouse Museum - Australia’s largest and most popular museum with exhibitions of decorative arts, science and technology. Visitors of all ages can enjoy this interactive, modern museum, which opened in 1988

St Mary's Cathedral - modelled after Notre Dame. The St Mary's Cathedral famous choir sings on Sundays around 10:30am.
